The cerascreen® Food Reaction Test is a food intolerance and food allergy test, which can be used to determine the causes of many different intolerances and allergies. The test is easy to use, allowing you to perform it conveniently from home. A comprehensive IgE and IgG4 screening of your blood is performed for the test in a partner diagnostics laboratory. Both IgE and IgG4 are so-called immunoglobulins. They react to substances in the body that the immune system identifies as harmful.

Attention: The Food Reaction Test does NOT include testing for lactose, fructose or sorbitol intolerance. Such allergies and intolerances can only be diagnosed through an exhaled breath test such as a Lactose Intolerance Test which is also available from cerascreen®.

An intolerance or allergy results in the immune system overreacting to “harmless” substances. We then feel these overreactions as a stomachache or other allergy symptoms.

Besides the actual test results, you will receive a detailed explanation developed by biologists and nutritionists of what these results mean. Here we explain how the test results are to be interpreted, while offering suggestions regarding how you can deal with your food intolerances or food allergies.

A few drops of blood from your fingertip are sufficient for the analysis. You can easily take the sample yourself by following the illustrated instructions. We will provide your personal test results our secure my cerascreen® customer area.

Please note that a relevant result is only guaranteed if you eat a varied diet prior to taking the sample (for approx. 2 weeks) . Intolerances and allergies can only be detected if you have already eaten the foods in question. Please do not consume foods which are known to cause a strong allergic reactions (anaphylactic shock possible!) or any antihistamines before taking the test.
